NEWTON AND TESCO WIN GOLD AT THE AMEC AWARDS 2017
NEWTON Media has been recognised as a leader in media insights by the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) for its work for Tesco.
At the AMEC Awards ceremony in Bangkok, NEWTON Media achieved the Gold Award for Best Measurement of a Business to Business Campaign and Bronze for the Best Use of Integrated Communication Measurement & Research.
The latest award follows NEWTON Media's success in 2016, when the company also triumphed in the B2B category for its work with Czech National Bank.
The winning project for 2017 delivered clear insights and recommendations for the relaunch of Tesco's communications strategy. The AMEC judges described NEWTON Media's work as "Impressive integration of a journalist survey with multi-phased media analysis. The research had clear learnings that were acted upon, leading to a demonstrable improvement in quantity and quality of media coverage."
Ján Kondáš, Head of Corporate Communications for Tesco, commented: “We have been working with NEWTON Media for many years, which is why we went to them to perform our media audit. This detailed analysis allowed us to modify our communications strategy to far better reflect our company’s current needs for external communication. The audit also helped us identify new trends in communications, which is part of the reason we have decided to have it done again this year to chart our progress.”
CEO of Newton Media Group Petr Herian said: “The AMEC Awards represent an opportunity for us each year to compare ourselves to the competition on an international level. This makes me all the more pleased at our two awards in this prestigious competition, confirming our position at the forefront of the Media Intelligence industry,”
